Become a WATK Community Partner!
Description of Position: This is an opportunity to be a representative for WATK. As a WATK Partner, you will be a WATK representative in your own local scene- whether that is a city, or the suburbs; you can live anywhere for this position. This position will require an interest in journalism, and strong writing skills, because you will be writing articles and submitting interviews to WATK.
Encouraged things to do as a Community Partner:
X Conduct interviews containing music business related questions with mentors and figures in the music industry. These could be local sound engineers, venue owners, venue promoters, venue bookers, social media based businesses, Universities ect. Use WATK as your platform to interview people in your local scene.
X Find answers to the questions that our young community asks within your local community. Report back to the community with what you find. All of your interviews and write ups will be posted on WATK, however after they have been published, you may use them for your own individual site as well if you so choose.
X Show your community to WATK. Explore your city and talk about what you find. Do you have underground record shops? Explain why your community is good for music, and why your community is bad for music.
-Again, this is a voluntary position, but is it certainly something you can put on your resume given that you are an active participant, and creating relevant content for the WATK community as a whole.

If you are interested in this position, but you don’t have a journalism background, still apply. If I get applications from more than one person living in the same city, it does not mean that one deserving person will be left out. If there are multiple qualified people in one area, you will be working together as a team, and communicating to each other and myself.
