So everything I’ve always heard on the internet was ‘Don’t go into a program that has music business in the title’ and at first I took that to heart and tried to find a different program. Currently I’m in college under a program with the name ‘Music Business Management’ at Durham College and I think that everything people have told me is bullshit in a way. I agree that don’t go into a music business program at a university, but at a college it work.

In Canada, college is different from university in the fact that college is more hands on and I feel like this program will help me in getting a job in the music industry. Maybe not for touring, but a job at a management firm or a promotions company and my program is geared for that and most other programs are. Most employers in those fields want educated people and touring not so much.

I just feel like people think that getting a degree in anything related to the music business is useless when it’s not.

So yeah, I con’t even know if this makes sense anymore
